Darkness emerges from the well.
Each turn, the player draws a Monster token and places it in the direction indicated by the light on the Cube.
How does it work?
At the start of your turn, you draw a Darkness token from the bag.
You must place it on the board, following the direction indicated by the Cube of Light (North, South, East or West).
Once placed, this token represents a new creature that will spread square after square during each game cycle.
Consequence
Each player therefore contributes to filling the board with monsters, even while trying to survive.
You are never completely safe: sometimes your own actions will create a threat that can come back to haunt you.

Light is at the heart of BIIIR… but no one has complete control over it.
How does it work?
The Cube of Light indicates the direction that Darkness follows.
By default, it changes when a player rolls the special die (faces: North, South, East, West, Nothing, Reroll).
But thanks to Illusion cards, wizards can:
divert the light to turn it towards another opponent,
erect or destroy barriers to manipulate the path,
or even purify an area and erase monsters.
Consequence
Light becomes a tool of manipulation:
What should have been a threat to you can turn into a trap for your rival. Each choice creates a domino effect across the board.

Orientation Maps

When the Darkness reaches your Sacred Heart, there is no escape: you are eliminated.
How does it work?
Each player has a Heart in their corner of the board (central square of the 3×3).
If a Darkness token lands on this space, your Guardian is consumed by light and shadows.
Your territory remains invaded, and the game continues without you.
Last resorts
Each Guardian has a unique secret power, usable only once.
These powers often activate at the critical moment when your Heart is threatened.
They can save your life... or condemn someone else in your place.
Consequence
The elimination is final: no return.
The tension increases as the game progresses, until only one Guardian remains alive.
